Chinatown, New York
Mid-day
Rye's boot's clomped down the busy streets of mid day New York. He enjoyed Chinatown and the history. He loved the smell of fresh fish in the air. Maybe it was the Bear in him but enjoyed it. He liked to look at the vegetables in the stands. He pulled his long hair back into a ponytail and pulled his box of black and milds from his pocket. He smelt it, he loved the wine flavor. The apple was too artificial and the creme too plain. For some reason the wine was just his style.
He hummed a song sung to him by the priest who had treated him so kindly. He played with his cross as he smiled and blew smoke. He was thirsty however and needed to find some kind of bar or some place where he could consume alcohol. He took another drag as he peered around to look for a bar.
He scanned the small strip and saw a small bar. "Awesome I bet they have strong stuff there!" He walked up to a small place called "Woo Hop" he puffed his cigar a few more times before putting it out and stepping inside. He scanned the room and found the bar past a paper screen. He smiled a slowly walked past a couple of gambling old china men shouting at one another in their own native tongues.
Rye sat down and looked over the liquor menu. "Ooooh Scotch!" he said and ordered his drink. He had grown a high tolerance for alcohol over the years of sneaking the ceremonial wine every night for years so it took Rye a while to get buzzed. Rye sipped his drink as he listened to the sounds. His ears perked and he heard from across the table a man talking to his friend on a phone about a some hot chick and an alley way and didn't matter whether she wanted to or not.
Rye put his game face on and by game face this time he made his eye lids sink low and had a goofy smile on his face. He watched the man leave with his date. His hand around her wrist quite tight. Rye smiled at the bar tender and gave him the money for the drink and Rye walked out "drunkily" after the couple.
Rye came to the man pushing the girl up to the wall. Rye walked up drunkily and with a smile. "Hey, hey hey. Do you guys no where I parked my car?" he hiccuped. The man looked at him with a scowl, "Get out of here deadbeat." Rye drunkily tapped the man on the shoulder, "Hey hey hey, are you sure you don't know where my car is?: he smiled and rested his arm on the mans shoulder. The man let go of the girl and grabbed Rye's hand, Rye snapped out of the drunk act and smiled a wicked grin.
He twisted his body around so he was in control of the mans arm. "Okay lets be calm. You have one chance to leave this," he looked the girl up and down. She had blonde hair blue eyes and freckles, she was about twenty years old and wore a mini skirt and a Ramones shirt. "extremely attractive girl." We'll talk later." he winked.
The man shifted his weight and flipped Rye over his shoulder making him fall on his back. Rye flipped up and got in a fighting stance, "Shouldn't have done that." he growled. Rye used his agility to quickly minimize the distance between him and the man. Rye punched to the mans torso and then to his nose breaking it on impact. The man fell covering his nose as it gushed blood and he shrieked in pain.
Rye turned to the girl and flashed her a smile. "So are you okay?" The girl smiled and nodded. Rye walked up to her and held his hand out and asked,"May I escort you out of the alley way my dear?" She giggled and took his hand. He felt her body temperature rise and heart beat speed up in a different way then fear. the way you get nervous, the sign of arousal. It wasn't Rye's style to take advantage of this so he bowed and kissed her hand like in a cheesy spanish movie. She kissed him on the cheek and walked away with a smile on her face.
Rye smiled and lit up a new black and Mild and leaned his back on the alley way wall.
