Rye is a vegetarian, he finds eating animals disturbing since he’s been half of the animal kingdom. He tends to eat root vegetables and fruits. He prefers broccoli and spinach to eat because they give him the most energy. He doesn’t push his healthy eating habits on others because he finds it wrong to push his beliefs he'd find it hypocritical due to his smoking and drinking. He also is a Catholic boy and has lived in a church when growing up as a young boy.
Rye has been a loner since he was separated from his brother on the streets when he was 13. He knows how to look after himself and repair minor wounds that aren’t serious enough for a trip to the E.R.

Physical Description: Rye has long black hair that reaches his shoulders and brown eyes. His skin is a caramel color because of his Native American heritage with hair on his arms, chest, and legs. His face usually is slightly stubbly due to his unexcessive shaving habits. He has notables scars on his arms and on his cheeks from his bones and skin stretching constantly. He wears plaid black shirts and pants, black cowboy boots with spurs.
In most animal forms if the animal comes in black he has black fur or feathers.
~:Powers/Tools:~
Powers & Abilities:
Rye has the ability to shape shift into different kinds of animals. He has a preference for dogs. He is usually in a black mutt dog form with shaggy hair and yellow eyes. He can get around town under radar unless others know about his secret. Rye can stay in his animal form as long as it is necessary. He will spend days on end as a dog, he finds people treat him in his dog form nicer than his own human form.
Animals Rye can turn into:
Black Mutt
Wolf
Cat
Fox
Deer
Wild Boar
Fly
Crow
Hawk
Adult Black Grizzly Bear
Ant
Jack Rabbit
And a mouse
In his human form Rye has enhanced hearing, smell, taste, sight, and agility. He can track someone he needs to find in both animal and human form.
Weakness: The problem with being in animal form is he has no way of communicating with others. He can growl or chirp unless premeditated sounds are planned before hand, they are useless.
State of Control/Rules: Rye can control himself when he is conscious when knocked out or sleeping he can transform into an animal or when in animal form transform back into a human. When he is hot headed he transforms quite quickly and is usually something intimidating. Also Rye can only turn into animals he has been in contact with whether in animal or human form. He has to physically touch them. So he can’t turn into a tiger unless he has come in contact with a tiger before hand. He has plans on going to a zoo as a house fly to touch all the little animals.
Reason You Choose Your Power: I always thought it’d be cool to be able to transform into a dog and live like a dog or any animal for that matter. I also thought it was cool about spirit animals in the Native American culture.
Weapons: None
Equipment: Has a small backpack where he keeps his clothes before he transforms when it is premeditated and his bible. Also a small violin case containing a violin, rosin, and a bow.

~:History:~
Place of Birth: West Haverstraw, NY
Relatives:
Peter Blackfoot- Older Brother
John and Delilah Blackfoot- Husband and wife who lived in the mountains of Haverstraw. His father was a lumber jack and his mother stayed at home to take care of him and his brother.
Note able people- Father Edmund who looked after Rye most of his life. Is Rye most trusted friend and knows of his secret.
History:
Rye was born in West Haverstraw New York in the mountains in a log cabin. While growing up he always loved animals, in fact they had a black dog that Rye would play with everyday since he could walk. His brother Peter was very protective of him growing up because Rye never stood up for himself making him bottle things up. He would have little out bursts.
At the age of 10 Rye and his brother were orphans due to a car crash his parents were involved in. A drunk driver hit a patch of black ice and hit into them killing them on impact. Rye and his brother moved from orphanage to orphanage all over New York. Peter and Rye were separated when Peter was adopted and Rye wasn’t. Rye was alone and once when he was 13 he remembered his dog and his old life. How happy he was. He fell asleep with those thoughts. He woke up and his vision was blurry and in a black and white tone. He was covered in black fur and barked instead of talked. He was reported missing after not being able to turn back into a human for a few hours. He thought of himself human and the feeling. He slowly and painfully transformed back into a human in an alleyway he was cold, naked, and scared. He found refuge in a cathedral. There he met Father Edmund.
At the age of fifteen Rye had become adopted unofficially by Father Edmund and cleaned the cathedral every Sunday night. He grew strong from all the hard labor he had to do due to Father Edmunds old age. Rye was always happy to oblige. In Ryes off time he would go into the woods behind the cathedral and find new animals he would mimic. Or he would just be in his human form and would be around the animals. Talking to them or singing songs or play music. It was around this time Father Edmund started to teach him how to play the violin.
Rye turned 20 when he decided he should leave the church and start looking for his brother. Father Edmund understood and was not bitter. He gave Rye his violin, a bible, and a Crucifix to wear around his neck. Rye hitched his way to the city and got a small apartment where he resides to this day looking for brother any way he can usually by using the internet to no avail.
