Creator Information:
Creators Name: Kc
Creators Age: Do I really have to cop to that?
Character Information:
~Personal~[/center]
Name: Alexandra 'Alex' Cooper
Age: 17
Birthday: December 23, 1991
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Where are you from: Illinois
Current living location: Northeast
Blood Type: A+
Relationship Status: Nonexistant
Personality: Introverted, Alex doesn't speak much unless spoken to. She feels responsible for the death of her father, and that makes her susceptible to periods of extreme distress and/or unease. She cries easily, sometimes waking in the middle of the night, screaming. On occasion, she will start sleepwalking, and talking in her sleep is not uncommon.
~Physical~
Build: Not tall, but lean; swimmer's look
Height: 5'6”
Weight: 136 lbs.
Physical Description: Alex has long, dark brown hair that curls up slightly at the base if she doesn't style (which is 84% of the time). Her almond shaped, brown eyes are framed by dark lashes and eyebrows, which have a gentle curve to them. Not much of an upper lip to speak of, but her bottom lips is full and usually puckered from being chewed on constantly. Her nose is narrow, and she's always thought of it as more of a beak than a nose.
~Clothing~
Everyday wear: For everyday, Alex prefers to go “casual”; dark, navy blue jeans that hug her hips and legs, t-shirts (mainly old, tattered ones, since they are more comfortable for her) and a black, zipper hoodie that she wears constantly. On her feet, she prefers her red and white New Balance tennis shoes with the white laces (unless it is hot out, in which she prefers to go barefoot, or sockless sandals, if she has to go on an errand that requires her to walk into a public facility). Cotton socks, mainly white with blue or pink toes and heels, compliment her sneakers.
Dress wear: Not having been on what one would describe as a “date”, it's hard for Alex to say what she would wear. More than likely, it would depend on the situation.
Formal wear: Alex owns a total of three dresses, that she will only wear if coerced. One for church or weddings or other such things, is white with a bit of frilly lace at the collar and at the end of its short sleeves. Another is red; this one was bequeathed to her from her grandmother, and the style is rather old fashioned. Still, it is nice, and Alex has kept it around for sentimental purposes. Finally, the dress she wore to her father's funeral, is a sleeveless black dress that is buried deep in the hidden recesses of Alex's closet. It doesn't see much sunlight.

~Powers~
(If user)
Powers: Her enhanced memory allows Alex to recall every trivial fact she's ever known, at least since she started first grade. It has gotten her into trouble on several occasions, not the least of which was when her sister tried to help her get ahead in her studies when she entered middle school, and Alex, the younger sister and supposedly less wise of the two, knew more about the topics of conversation she had with her sister than her sister did. (Did that make any sense?)
Her other power, hydrokinesis, allows her to manipulate water in all its forms. If, for instance, it was raining, but she wanted to go outside without getting wet, she could simply command the rain to fall around instead of on her.
State of Control: Alex's enhanced memory developed before she entered the first grade, though it is still an unconscious power; she doesn't realize she's using it. Her hydrokinetic abilities, on the other hand, developed only after her first major conflict with her sister when she was first entering into adolescence. She's only used it out of fear or some kind of extreme emotion, though, so the control is not what it should be.
Rules Of Your Power: Since Alex's offensive powers are water-based, in combat, she would do better near any body of water. Her ultimate fighting arena would be the beach or perhaps on a boat, while a desert or drier area would serve to hinder her.
~General~
Family Members/Status: Father – Deceased
Mother – Whereabouts unheeded
Sister – Somewhere in the USA
History: Alex was born into a family that couldn't have been more opposite in personality if they tried. Nevertheless, it was a loving family. As a child, she and her sister Jenny had one of their parents wrapped around their little fingers; Alex was doted on by her father, while Jenny was doted on by their mother. Jared called Alex his little princess. However, he didn't spoil her; having two daughters, the Coopers did their best to raise them both properly.
Jenny, who was more outspoken than her baby sister, had a tendency to tattle. Once, when Alex was four, she colored on her bedroom wall; Jenny, who shared the room at the time, felt it was her duty as oldest to inform her parents. Knowing who to explain Alex's wrong-doings to, she went to her mother, who then spoke with her husband. When they confronted Alex about it, her response had been, “I was making the room prettier.” Jared, the dreamer, musician, and somewhat of an artist himself, had laughed uproariously at his daughter, while Aimee, the realist, gave her a stern look. This incident set the sisters' relationships with their parents in stone, so to speak. The girls spent most of their time with the parent they related to the most; Alex with her father, and Jenny with her mother. Jared taught Alex everything he knew about music; he even bought her a portable keyboard and a book of sheet music for her eighth birthday. Alex fell in love with music quickly and never could get enough of it.
When Alex started middle school, she quickly became the top of her class. Jenny, being a freshman in high school at the time, would try to help her little sister by explaining things to her, but Alex would always nod and elaborate, in greater detail than Jenny could, on whatever subject they were discussing. This frustrated Jenny, and, unintentionally, pushed her away from her little sister. But then came the subject that, no matter how hard she tried to understand it, Alex couldn't wrap her mind around: the opposite sex. When she willingly came to Jenny about it, her older sister was harsh and sarcastic, mean. Alex, confused by her sister's coldness toward her, ended up running out of her room, crying in anger. She ran out to find her father, needing his advice on what to do about Jenny. The family lived in the country, near the woods. Jared Cooper went in there to relax and get away from the complications of society. He'd even gone so far as to build a small fort in one of the large, sturdy oak trees near a lake. It was where he played and wrote his music. The only one who knew where to find his haven was Alex; he'd taken her there several times as a kid. He even added a tire swing for her that was on the banks of the lake; easy access to a swimming hole if you jumped.
That was where Alex went to find him when Jenny turned cold. He was in the tree house, relaxing, as usual. He quickly climbed down, though, when he heard Alex. They talked for a long time, Alex calming down a bit, and then went for a swim in the lake. This is where things got weird, and horribly frightening for Alex.
They were splashing, laughing and dunking each other underwater. Jared teased his daughter, dunking her under when she called him old. When she came up, she grinned and wanted to do the same. Unfortunately, she didn't get the chance to physically do so like her father. Out of nowhere, a wave came up and engulfed the two of them. It was like the ocean during a storm, except they were nowhere near a coast, and the weather was perfectly sunny. After what seemed like hours of struggling to keep her head above water, the maelstrom stopped. Alex swam to shore, panting, and looked back to find her father.
She found him floating in the water. When she realized he wasn't playing, she ran back home, screaming. Jenny came out, scowling, and slapped her when she said Jared had drowned. Angrily, Alex punched her sister and ran inside to call 911.
The ambulance came; they tried to revive him, but it was a wasted effort. He'd been dead before they even arrived, and everyone knew it. Alex blamed herself, knowing that, somehow, she was the responsible for her father's death. She just didn't know how. So, she went looking for the answer.
She devoted all her time and energy to finding out what had happened. During this time, her mother sent her to therapists and specialists, trying to figure out why her daughter was so different. Alex was classified as depressed, and put on medication to help her. It didn't stop her obsession with finding out how she had killed her father, though. Finally, when her mother couldn't take it anymore, she kicked Alex out of the house. Alex got an apartment, and now lives on her own.
