~:Basic Character Information:~
Name: Robert Tailor
Alias: Lucid
Nationality: English
Age: ~ 19
Sex: Male
Orientation: Straight
Personality: Lucid is chaotic and unreliable at best. Plagued by nightmares of being in some other horrific world when sleeping or awake, his mind has been twisted, he has come to believe that his dreams are real, and nothing in the real world holds any major significance to him, his only driving motivation is the fear of whatever is in his nightmares, and the hope that he might be able to end them. Generally mistrustful of everyone he meets, Lucid finds it hard to make friends, and will often have paranoid delusions about them.
Lucid sees the world as an observer, never realy getting involved with life, but always manipulating it, never out of greed, but for survival, or curiosity.
Height: 180 cm
Weight: 170 Lbs
Physical Description: Lucid is fairly tall and slim, with long scruffy hair and always looks tired to the death, He always wears dark clothes, preferably with a hood so as not to attract attention. He always fidgets and constantly glances around and over his shoulder.

~:Powers/Tools:~
Powers & Abilities:
‘Visions’ - Lucid regularly has terrible nightmares, where he sees himself in another world, whatever it is that he sees there terrifies him and has twisted his mind, so nothing in the real world seems to matter too much. This is not a power, it is a psychological condition, although Lucid believes that the visions he has seem to be trying to tell him something, or lead him somewhere, but for what purpose, he does not know.
‘Mental Projection’ – Lucid has the power to ‘project’ his mind into reality, allowing his thoughts to become solid and real objects, when used offensively, Lucid usually loses himself in one of his waking nightmares, and projects them into reality- and terrible creatures from Lucid’s twisted mind tear his foes to pieces.
He can also use his power defensively, or to act as illusions, for example creating a copy of himself to act as decoy, or conjuring ghost-like apparitions to terrify his pursuers.
Weakness: Lucid has no control over his visions; they can come at any time, leaving him completely vulnerable.
His mental projections can only exists whilst he concentrates on them, and larger projections require more concentration, so if distracted his creations will vanish.
State of Control/Rules: Lucid has complete control over his projections, but they need his complete attention to maintain.
Reason You Choose Your Power: I wanted a really creepy character, who is not evil, just messed up. And I wanted him to have a really confused and easily manipulated agenda (driven by the fear of the creatures in his dreams, which he ironically uses to kill his foes)
Weapons: whilst Lucid needs no weapons, he carries a small but deadly knife with him all the time.
Equipment: Lucid carries with him nothing more than the clothes on his back

~:History: ~
Ever since Robert was a child his nightmares were with him, his parents took him to every psychologist and specialist available, but every time they gave up and branded him ‘disturbed’, nonetheless, his parents loved him, but even they could not understand how a child so young could imagine such horrors.
When Robert was six he discovered his projection ability whilst having a waking nightmare, the creatures from his mind sprang into reality, tearing his parents and a visiting neighbour to shreds, the police were baffled and obviously did not pay any attention to the child’s ravings about daemons, disregarding them as the results of post-traumatic stress.
He and his brother were taken in by a local family for about 4 years, they were devoutly Christian, and they taught Robert and Ashley all about the Christian faith.
Robert was particularly interested in Satan, hell and daemons, and became convinced that the creatures in his dreams were some kind of demonic presence.
When Robert approached his adopted parents about his nightmares, and his belief that they were some kind of evil when he was ten, they threatened to throw him out, they argued and Robert fell into a waking nightmare, and ended up killing the both of them, like his parents.
He fled, leaving his brother behind.
He spent many nights living rough, and had to resort to stealing from local houses for food, he felt an urge to move to the city and set off to London, the journey took him a few weeks, and travelling was rough but he made it.
He lived rough on the streets of London for a while, stealing from tourists to buy food.
Whilst living rough, Robert developed his projection powers, and soon found that by using them he could take whatever he wanted. After developing his powers, life became easy, if he was hungry he could simply take food, at night he would simply manipulate his way into a hotel and after a short while he was living a life of luxury, just out of the way of everyday life.
He spent the next nine years living this way, moving from place to place, never getting to know anyone and not really getting involved with anything. He just lived, and watched. Watched peoples lives, and came to see the world as an observer, he was not a part of life, but he would manipulate it, and manipulate people. Not out of any evil intent, he just wanted to live comfortably, but he would manipulate people purely out of curiosity.
As Robert grew older he rejected his Christian faith, and the idea that his dreams were daemons, but he still believes that the creatures in his mind are real, in some way or another.
Soon after turning 19, Robert felt an urge to travel to America, and he did so. He had no money – but he did not need it, without any knowledge of where in America he was going, or why he was going, he went.
(Just joined recently, not sure if this is where I post my character application thing, or if I have to ask first, but here goes)
