March 1st “Hello? Yes yes, I’m fine. The Vaccine works by the way” Dr. Clark was sitting with his legs hanging over the edge of a cliff, the stolen phone held up to his ear by his massive hand “That’s good to hear. No I don’t think I will be coming straight back... Are you sure you two are safe?” His assistant was adamant on the other end of the phone, as she’d always been “Listen, I need to know how many spare rooms we have... yes spare rooms. Don’t ask why, I need to know” He grabbed the pen and booklet he swiped from the store out of his pocket “6 spare rooms? Floors 2, 4 and 5. Ok, got it... I need to go find some people, I’m going to be a little longer than expected... well because the warden of the prison has information as to their locations” He didn’t want any more users to be dragged into the prison, not until he sends them in himself “I know, I know. Always caring for others. Ok, have your brother keep watch on the entrance for a few days more Ok? K, thanks, see you soon. Bye” He hung up the phone and stood up. Casting the phone away into the ocean he turned his attention to his notes; Eliana- “Unseen... Unharmed”- Invisibility? – floor 4- unknown Aeries -Kuro observation-power undetermined- floor 2- unknown Kuro- direct observation- armour- floor 2- safe Tucking the notes away he turned and began his long trek toward the origin of Kuros last letter in the hope he’s not too late to save at least one of them.

Eliana was still in Texas, and was finding she sort of liked it there. It was getting hotter since spring was more or less there, and wearing long sleeves all the time was a bit of a pain. Despite this, she was content there. Even if she was able to get her own place, she was still staying with the Boushi's. They were fine with her staying there, and it was kind of nice to be in the presence of people who weren't going to turn her in. Eventually she'd leave their house, and hopefully she could just move to an apartment or something. It was probably not the smartest thing to do, but she liked the town, and a few months of not travelling wouldn't kill her, right? Plus, she enjoyed Lantos's company. It had been quite a while since she had spent any time around people her own age (except for Kuro), and she liked it. Since she had found work at a local diner that's where she sat..or rather stood on Sunday. It currently wasn't extremely busy as the lunch rush had just finished up, so she was busying herself by wiping down tables.

A diner, the first place he spotted in the town as he entered. He could feel three presences there. Entering the diner he found that it was quite busy; three waitresses for a room full of people. Of those people Dane could tell two were users, and one of the people in the back.
He took a seat at the bar and looked at the user/waitress. She was fast moving, but didn't look at the customers, preferring to focus her attention on other things. 'shy' would be the word, her movements and writing matched the letters sent to Kuro. This must be Eliana, he sat back and waited, refusing to order from other waitresses, keeping a low profile watch on her

Eliana moved about, helping some of the other customers and continuing on with whatever needed doing. Eventually she felt a tap on her shoulder and one of the waitresses pointed toward a man sitting at the bar who looked...well a tad strange. She nodded to the woman and made her way over to the man that had apparently been there for a bit. "Hello, I'm Eli. Would you like a drink...or a menu?" She glanced at him and looked him over. Definitely strange looking. His left side was in such stark contrast to his right. Did she have some sort of beacon that attracted odd costumers?

Daniel spun around and widened his eyes in what he hoped was surprise. “Yes thank you, could I have 4 glasses of water thanks? You said your name was Eli right? Is that Eliana Medici? I’m a ‘mate’ of Kuro’s. Do you know him?” Daniel could see she’d need a good talking to. It looked as if she was a very anti-social person. He had time, she was definitely an invisibility person. The guy in the corner, a pyrokinetic, didn’t seem so patient. The way he was eying Eli, the way he was holding his glass, he was after something, and he seemed the type to take it. “Could you tell me something? I was just wondering if that man over there-” He nodded to the pyro “- is a regular.” He needed to build some form of trust. He wasn’t the easiest person to look at. Dane could remember a time he was told one side looked like the rock, and the other some weedy nerd... But that was long ago, he’s not so much contrasted now. Dane spent the next little while mentally assessing each person in the diner, one teen was staring at him, he was use to it. People staring all the time, he didn’t care though, he was waiting for the kid to finally tell his mate he had feelings for him. He could see it in the guys face, the teen brought his mate here to tell him... Dane smiled to himself as he turned back to the bar, to Eli, he needed to keep an eye on her. No user is safe in public. No public is safe near some users.

Four glasses of water? Who needed four glasses of water? Eli hardly had time to focus on that though when he asked about Kuro. Why would he ask that? She bit her lip and looked down at her pad and paper. Plus, how in the world did he know her full name? She hadn't spoken too him for then a minute and she already didn't trust him in the least. "Well....yes I am Eliana Medici, and yes I know a Kuro." Frowning she looked to the man he nodded at. "Um....not sure. I don't pay too much attention to customers, and I haven't been working here long. He looks a tad familiar I guess." Sighing she looked to the man. "I'll go get you your water."
Eli was gone for a few moments before returning with four glasses and some water. After setting the glasses down she began to pour the water into them. "How do you know Kuro?"

Dane smiled as kindly as he could muster, holding back a laugh at the couple behind him. “Thank you” He grabbed the first glass, normal size, 3 maybe four inches high, typical diner glass. With a single gulp he downed the entire contents. “Thought so” he nodded to himself as he turned to look at the guy again. ‘tad familiar I GUESS’ was her words, the tone said Dane was disturbing her, but the glance she gave the man told him she didn’t trust him. The pyro was definitely up to something, he’d put down his glass. Dane looked deeply into Eli’s eyes. He wasn’t sure whether she’d believe him or not. A deep breath and downed another glass “How to say this?” he rubbed his forehead in thought. “I said I’m a mate of Kuro’s right?... well I was his cellmate, in Alcatraz. Busted him out with me a few days ago. Nothing big, just a small exit. I promised him I’d check on you. You ok?” He hoped this was the right thing to say, he could have shown her one of the letters she sent kuro... but then he’d seem like a nut from the post office.

Lantos pulled his car into the parking lot. It was a slow day for himself. He didn't have work, school,or anything to do. So what better to do then go annoy his girl. Well... The girl he'd gone on a couple dates with. He wasn't sure where they stood. He knew he liked being around her though, so it seemed like a good idea to go get lunch at her place of work.
Lantos climbed out of the car, his blonde hair, messy as usual. He wore a black v-neck t-shirt, and a pair of jeans. He closed the door, checking that he had his keys first, and made his way to the front door of the diner.
When he got inside, he automatically saw the girl he was looking for. She stood out to him. He could pick her out with ease. He walked up, noticing the odd looking man she was serving. He took a seat a couple down from the man, and waved to Eli hoping she would see him. [/blockquote]

Eli watched him down the first glass in surprise. That was...impressive in a way. "Your welcome..." When he put the glass down she refilled it with what was left of the water in the pitcher. When she looked up from the glass she noticed he was looking right at her eyes. Trying to be polite she did her best not to look away as he spoke, so instead she bit her lip. His cellmate? He had been his cellmate in Alcatraz? Eli was gaping a little now, obviously surprised by the man's words. "Um...well...yes I'm okay. You were in...there? So then you...you can do stuff like Kuro too? I-I mean....not exactly like Kuro, but y'know what I mean." Hearing the bell ring on the door she looked to see who was entering. Old habits died hard, and even if she felt comfortable he'd still look to the door out of the slight fear it'd be some agent or something. Seeing it was Lantos she smiled to herself and looked back at the man. "So he's out then? That's a relief..." Looking up she smiled at Lantos, seeing he had sat down. "Um...will you excuse me for a moment? I need to attend to another customer. I'll bring you back a menu if you want." With that she walked away from the man who apparently knew Kuro from Alcatraz and walked the few seats down to where Lantos was. "Hello, how are you?" she said with a smile. Though she wasn't exactly sure what to consider their relationship, she was still happy to see him. Even with her confusion on what they were, she knew she was really starting to like him quite a bit and that was good enough for her. Eli wasn't sure if she should really bring it up to Lantos yet, since she wasn't entirely sure the guy was telling the truth. "That guy I'm serving says he knew Kuro....and he says they broke out."Way to just blurt it out Eli.

The diner was emptying, it was after lunch people weren’t hungry any more. He nearly missed the man enter the room, he could of missed him if he were only human. The man was about 6’0 if Dane was right, slender build and a rather astonishing power. Molecular alteration. Dr. Clarke’s eyes spun back to witness Eliana smile at the man. He didn’t say anything as she moved away to serve him. “Just a cover though. Eye contact, thats the first customer she’s looked in the eye. The smile, she seems slightly happier now he’s here... and there she goes, pushing the hair out of her face. He is acting fairly similar. Smile as he sat. And she just mentioned me, he’s looking at me defencively. It’s ok dude, im not gunna take your girl” Dane thought to himself. Cute couple.
Only three customers left in the diner. Dane downed another glass as he watched the pyro move his to the other end of the table and call a waitress over. “hoo-ah. Here we go” the man swung a blazing arm around the waitress and dragged her to the register “HEY” Dane was face to face with the robber. He splashed a glass of water up at the man’s face. For a moment the man shrieked in fear. “It’s people like you-” He grabbed the mans head “That give users-” He brought it down full force at the benchtop “a bad name.” The man slid from the benchtop unconscious. A small pool of blood settling in a dent on the bar. “It’s ok folks, it’s just a broken nose” Dane lay 2 $20 notes on the bar before heading around behind it and hoisting the man on his shoulder. He then proceeded to leave without another word.

Lantos was very happy to see Eli walk over to serve him. Not that he was really here to eat. Granted, Lantos loved his food. He would eat any time anywhere. Didn't matter if he'd eaten less then an hour ago. He was always hungry!
Lantos gave her a wide grin when she got to the table, and he said back to her. "I'm doing wonderful now. How about yourself, and rough customers?" Lantos glanced at the man she'd been talking too. Lantos looked back to Eli, and sensed she wanted to say something, and then it seemed she did. This man knew Kuro, and Kuro was out. That was unbelievable. Kuro didn't seem like he would just break out on his own. He would try and stay in as some sick punishment.
Lantos glanced back at the guy again. He wasn't sure, his face looked scrutinizing. No way. Kuro would have come home, right? He would want everyone to know he was safe. Lantos looked back to Eli. "Are we sure he's... one of us? He could be some agent trying to trick us. Make us say something incriminating. I don't know if we should trust him Eli. I don't want to be locked up, and more importantly, I don't want to see you locked up!"
Lantos looked over at a sudden commotion. The man he'd been protesting was suddenly tackling a man to the ground. Lantos was sharp enough to notice the smoke trailing from the man's body after having water thrown on him. He'd just been put out. He'd been some sort of pyro. The man the picked up the body and left. Lantos looked back at Eli, "What do you think? Should we follow him? See if we can figure out what's up?" [/blockquote]

Eli smiled just a bit when he said he didn't want to see her locked up either. Her eyes had moved down to the pad in her hand, but after he had spoken she looked back up to him. "Well no...I'm not sure. I don't know. He said he was Kuro's cellmate. He apparently broke out with him. He knew my name. I'm not sure. I don't trust him though." Hearing the commotion she turned around. Her hand immediately turned invisible, more out of instinct then anything. Gasping she looked down at it, biting her lip. Within a moment it was visible again, and she looked up in time to watch the man carry the pyro out. Looking back to Lantos she sighed at his suggestion. "Well...we can, but I...I'm working. I can't just leave." thinking for a moment she sighed once more. "Well, my shift is almost over. Give me a minute....or two."
Eli hurried into the kitchen and then into the backroom that was where the employees kept their things. She pulled off the apron that she had been given and set it where she was supposed to leave it. She then took off the black pair of pants and white collared shirt she was supposed to wear for the job, and pulled on some jean shorts, a tank top, and a blue cardigan. "Damn dress code..." she mumbled to herself as she hurried back out. Before she returned to Lantos she stopped one of the waitresses that seemed more or less confused on exactly what to do. Eli explained to the girl that her shift was over in fifteen minutes anyways, and besides after that incident she didn't want to stick around. The girl seemed to think Eli just wanted to leave because of Lantos, but she smiled and told her she'd clock out for her. This was all done fairly wuickly since she was sure Lantos didn't want to lose the guy. Blushing because of the girl's assumption she walked back to Lantos "Okay...he hasn't been gone long, and he's carrying a guy. I doubt he's moving fast...so you want to go?"

Dane knew he screwed that up royally, he was grateful for the pyro’s distraction. He tossed the mans body into a dumpster and locked it shut on him. “That should serve you right. Keep your stealing to simple things dude, forget money... be smart” He began walking back out the alley, he could tell the user couple from the diner was nearby. He sat on the side of the road and closed his eyes. “back in the gutter, how longs it been? A year? Oh well... time to profile these two” He spent his time waiting by working out more about these two people. And editing his notes;
Emotional contact(eli)-direct observation- molecular alteration.
“I’d like to see how far I can push his power with him still in control... I may get a chance to find out”

Lantos nodded, and waited up for Eli. His eyes followed the man out the door, and then through the window, he watched the man disappear past the corner. Lantos turned back towards the kitchen, now on his feet. He was beginning to get impatient, worried he would lost the man. And just when he began thinking that, Eli came out and began quickly telling the other waitress she was leaving.
When Eli made it back to Lantos he nodded in agreement. "I doubt he made it far at all. He turned right when he went out. Lets go find him!" Lantos grabbed Eli's hand, and made for the door, walking quickly. Lantos was determined to know now. He needed to find out what was up with this man. Did he really know Kuro? How would they know? Or were they just walking into some trap?
Lantos looked quickly back at Eli. "Watch yourself, okay? I don't want either of us getting caught. I know for a fact you can get out if it comes down to it. Don't hold up for me. You get out of there, and I will find my own way out." Lantos gave a quick smile, and then looked back forward.
In the distance he could see a man coming out of an alleyway. He sat down on the curb and looked to be writing something. Surely, he didn't get rid of the body that quickly, unless it wasn't done well. It looked to be a similar build, but it didn't seem like it made sense. If this was a trap, he wouldn't be waiting right out in the open to get them. At least, Lantos could see no reason why he would. [/blockquote]

Well wasn't he excited? Before she had time to even get in a word he had grabbed her hand and was walking out the diner with her in tow. Eli had begun to get lost in her thoughts over this whole thing when he began talking again. She looked to him and smiled at what he said. "I'll try," she said. Eliana wasn't really planning on leaving him if things got bad. At least not immediately. When Kuro had been hurt...well it had been easier. She really couldn't have done anything after he was stabbed, and leaving him was her only other option other than capture. Plus, at the time he was more or less a stranger. Lantos...well he wasn't a stranger, and simply leaving him would be hard. If she had felt guilty about Kuro think how she would feel over leaving Lantos. Eli noticed the man too and bit her lip. Well, it could be a tap, but they wouldn't know for sure if they didn't try. This time she took the lead and began walking toward the man. "If things get bad....I can probably get us both out of there. My powers can affect the things around me, even people." She smiled at him and walked to the man who was now sitting on the curb. Not exactly sure what to ask she decided to ask the first thing on her mind. "How did you know my name?" Once again, she could've done a more analytical approach instead just blurting it out. Good job Eli, really. Ugh did she suck at this.
