Steinhatchee, Florida
Late Summer, Evening
A shady figure looks at the sun setting across the bayou, wondering whether or not it can be considered a bayou if it is not in Louisiana. 'Theres still swampy stuff, why the Hell not?' He thought to himself. He wandered the streets of the small town, until he came upon an open bar. Entering the old building, he looked for its patrons, but none were actually at the counter. The few inhabitants looked up from the pool table in the corner, then went back to their game. Neil took a seat in a booth.
A young bartender looked out from around a corner, and came over. "Can I get you something?" She asked, almost sincerley. Neil nodded. "I'll have your biggest, strongest, cheapest drink." She looked back blankly. "To be honest, I don't really know what that would be, I don't really work here, I'm just covering for a friend." " Okay then, just go mix some plain looking bottles together in a big cup. I'm good for it." Neil then rubbed his forehead. A moment later, the waitress came back. "Okay, this is like five things,so it should be pretty good." Neil took a sip. "Awesome." He said, but he had long ago learned to manipulate his own tasting ability, so it wouldn't have mattered if it were orange juice and ovaltine.
After the first drink, he decided he wanted another, and although the girl couldn't exactly reproduce the first drink, she brought one that was equally mysterious. "Isn't there normally music in bars? This is weird." Neil commented. "Music's broke buddy. Lightning strike a week ago screwed up all the wiring." Replied one of the fellows at the pool table.
"Thats too bad," Neil awnsered."I don't suppose one of you wants to hear about my problems?"
