Kuro thought for a second about her question, "Well its kinda complicated." he tried to think of the words to explain the whole situation, "Alright well when I was younger I lost someone and I made a promise I would help people." He smiled, closing his eyes. "And well if I keep traveling I get to help a lot of different people though all sorts of problems along with saving other users from the government and stuff along those lines." he then thought of Cassy, getting a little sad, but forcing his smile to stay.
While in the back room he looked around somewhat confused by what was going on, but wasn't going to question the rather uncomfortable room. "This room is odd..." he said looking confused. He then saw the bed, he nodded, "Mind if I lay down some while we talk, I'm kinda sore from traveling around." he asked.

"Thats a very noble cause" she remarked. She could understand his wanting to help people and it brought a warm smile to her face to know that there was someone more capable than herself to help those on the outside. After all she had been there before. If it hadn't been for Francis helping her all those years back she didn't want to think about where she would be now.
Hearing his question she nodded. "Of course, I did offer it to you after all. As to your comment about the room being "odd" I make all my own chocolate. So this is my mini "factory". It's kinda makeshift, i've been forced to move a lot in my life. As you could guess, once my secret gets out not many want me around, and the the government comes to my door...so I never really get settled." She held up her hands and spread her fingers to show off her rings. "in fact I have a ring for every city i've lived in. Dunno why I started doing this, boredom I suppose..."
The feeling was back in her head, like the starting of a headache. It wasn't painful at first. It almost felt like someone was poking at her brain. Her eyes widened slightly before shutting as the dull ache slowly grew to be painful and spread out across her head. "Really, right now..." she asked herself as she doubled over on the stool slightly.
"Pardon moi un moment Monsieur." not even realizing she had spoken in french she made her way from the room back into the display room. A cold sweat had begun to break out across her forehead and she held a hand out to steady herself on the counter as her vision faded to a deep crimson color. Pulling the sketch pad from it's place on the counter she sank to the floor, catching her breath in a gasp, as she felt a searing pain cut across the backs of her legs.
Holding the pencil in her shaking hand she quickly began to drag the graphite out along the page. Her body doubled over the page a few times as she drew, wincing as streaks of pain swept across her body. She wasn't even seeing what she was drawing anymore since her eyes were blinded by tears but her hand continued, as if it had a mind of it's own, to sketch out what she was experiencing.
When the vision ended, no more than a handful of minutes later, she stayed seated on the floor catching her breath. On the page was a rough sketch of the outside of the shop. Out in the street was a man, half of him was a blur and one of his arms was dragging a knife through a pedestrian. She wiped the tears free from her eyes and ran a hand through her dark hair, not taking her eyes from the picture on her lap

As Kuro laid down on the cot, he listened to her talk, his eyes slightly sagging. It had been to long without sleep he felt it slowly creeping up on him. He nodded and gave off soft agreements as she spoke. His eyes finally laying shut, he let out a deep breath and drifted to sleep.
He must have only had his eyes close for a second then he awoke sharply, hearing someone stumbling around, he jerk himself from the cot, and began looking around the room, "Roxanne, where are you at?" he shouted, then came out into the front of the shop seeing the girl on the ground tears in her eyes. He dropped down next to her, "What happened?" he asked squatting next to her, he placed his left hand on her cheek, "Tell me whats going on?" he said looking around the shop not seeing anything stolen or broken.
Before the girl could respond his eyes went to the drawing, "She draws what she sees, isn't that what she said."[/i] he tried to figure the image out, "That's the shop isn't it." Kuro said then noticing the man, "He's a user isn't he..." Kuro stood up, "How much time is typically between your visions and when the event takes place?" Kuro asked, flexing his right arm, "Man, wish this was working better, still gotta figure out what is wrong with my powers."

She jumped slightly hearing Kuro's voice calling out to her but before she could respond he had already found her. She looked up to him as he came over to her briefly before her cheeks flushed red. It was rare that she told people about her ability and even rarer that people actually witnessed it happening. It was a moment of weakness she didn't like people to see. Feeling his hand on her face she looked back down at the picture as he began to ask her about it.
She spoke quickly as her eyes searched the page, a slight frown on her lips. "Erm, it really depends, there is no real clear way to tell. Sometimes there is no time in between...sometimes there is years... but this one was strong, if i had to I would guess within the next ten to twenty minutes, an hour at tops..." seeing that he was standing and flexing his arm she stared at him in confusion for a few moments before it dawned on why he wanted the information.
"Oh no..." she muttered "No no." she rose to her feet placing the sketchbook on the counter. "I don't have to be able to see the future to see this. If you go out there, you are exposing yourself, and possibly me." her words were frantic. Although she had just met him, she didn't want to see him throw away his freedom like this. "Listen" she reached out and placed her hands on his arms, the rings on her fingers clinking against the metal of his armor.
"They have an entire police force dedicated to taking out.."she struggled for the right words for a moment "...people like us. Let them handle it. Because whether or not you go out, they are going to come anyway. And they will take you, and him both and lock you up." she didn't think her words were going to have much effect. Regardless, it was worth a try. He was a decent man and would hate to see him dragged off.

As Kuro moved his arm more and more, he felt the blood beginning to pump stronger in his body, but at the same time the arm was becoming more heavy. "Fricken thing work right."[/i] He continued looking out the window. "What if the man getting cut in your drawing is one of those officers, what if he has a wife and son to return home to after work?" He looked back at her, "Don't worry about getting caught I'll make sure they don't even know you have spoken to me." he smiled at her.
Then tucking his right hand deep into his pocket, the stitching of the pocket ripping slightly he pulled out a long red ribbon. He placed it tight against his forehead then pulled it back sending his mangy looking hair from in front of his face into spikes that hung back showing the man's complete face, "I am sorry but I can't let someone get hurt while knowing about it, even if it means I gotta be the one that gets hurt." he then nodded at her and walked over. He placed his hand on her head and ruffled her hair, "Thanks for the bed even if it was just for a second." he smiled.
He then looked towards the door, "Twenty minutes to and hour huh, meaning he is somewhere in the town most likely, probably looking for someone or something?" he thought to himself. He had left his jacket and other belongings in the back room, "There goes another jacket"[/i] he thought to himself and laugh slightly. He turn his head over his shoulder to the girl as he began walking towards the door, "Stay inside ok?" he said giving her a thumbs up.

Roxanne shook her head in disbelief. While his courage was admirable she strongly believed that people should learn to pick their battles wisely. Even as she thought this she looked down to her right wrist. Reading the curvy script that ran along the silver bangle.
"I guess everyone gives hope, in their own ways. Francis, would you be proud of my way...or am i being a coward she thought to herself. Shaking her head she sighed. No, no i'm not. her eyes looked back over to where he, making his way towards the door. "I can't do what he does..."
As he left, telling her to stay inside she raised an eyebrow. She didn't think he would permit her to follow him, but what could he really do to stop her. As she was grabbing her bag to follow him anyway she stopped. Most likely she would just be getting in his way. Her ability didn't make her all that useful in a fight. In fact she was rather useless. Not wanting him to have to worry about protecting her and himself, she released her hand on her bag.
"Just...be careful..." she started but her words were cut short, her eyes froze on the streets, where a man had appeared in a blur, knives in hand.
---
Steve made his way down the alley way, moving slowly for once. He eyes scanned the crowds. "Where is she..." At the thought of his unfaithful wife his blood began to burn. It had been nearly a whole year since he had returned to his house after being dragged off for being a user. He broke out of the prison and came home just to find his wife in bed with another man.
He had had his fun with the man, but the bitch had called the police while he worked, forcing him to flee or risk being captured again. Now it was time for revenge, and he had waited long enough, tracking her from their home in Montana all the way down here.
She was close. From all the intel he had received she lived in this block. A few people passed by and he watched them with hungry eyes. Men and women all going to work. Then he saw her. That pick camisole she had been so fond of. How he remembered it well; the day she got it, how she wore it and nothing else around the house when he was home.
His temper boiled over and he sprung from his hiding spot. The woman had made it a little further down the street but that was no issue. Speed was his gift and he was upon her in minutes, hand in her hair to wrench her neck back...only to find it wasn't her. Slicing through her neck with a cry of anger he looked around the street at the terrified faces of the people around him. Well while he was here, why not have a little fun. A gleeful smile crept across his face, the blood lust starting to creep into his eyes.

As Kuro walked out the door he saw the blur of the man running by, then grabbing the women and cutting her deeply, "Damn it." he clenched his fist then began running at the man, "Leave her alone, how about fight someone who can fight back." he shouted as he cross the street. As he ran people slowly began to look towards him, his arm shining in the morning sunlight.
A slight breeze rolled down the road as Kuro came up to the man, his head band blowing in the breeze, he pulled his right arm all the way back, "God Damn it!"he said as he swung his arm froward towards the man. "Why am I always to late."[/i] he thought to himself seeing the women bleeding.

Roxanne didn't have a phone, but she called out on the streets for someone to dial 911. Seeing that Kuro had the other man engaged she ran out to the street and fell to her knees next to the dying woman. She was bleeding badly. Even as Roxanne removed the light sweater she had been wearing and pressed it against the wound, she could tell it wasn't going to save the woman. Her lips pressed into a thin line as she rose up, grabbing the woman by the shoulders and dragging her away. "Get away." she shouted to the people nearest her. "Out of the streets, move!" She couldn't help Kuro in his fight, but the least she could do was clear the street for him. She watched as the people in the streets scattered, trying to get anywhere that was lead them away from the two users in the streets.
---
He heard the man shout before he saw the fist heading for him. The light shining from his armor nearly blinded him but he managed to duck clean out of the way. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a woman tending to the girl in the pink camisole and thought about taking her as his next victim. The man with the armor though was a much more interesting prospect and his eyes left the dark haired girl and searching over the man who had thrown a punch at him.
"Oh lookie here. You're like me!" he said spreading his arms wide before rushing to appear on the other side of the armored man "A freak. Listen pal, why fight? I'm a freak, you're a freak, thats all we are to these people. They don't want us around, BUT!" Disappearing in a blur he appeared again in front of Kuro, "If they aren't around, who's to drag us off. Hm? Who's to lock us up then; run experiments on us like we are some damn lab rats. WE are the ones with the power, we are the ones really in charge here. I think it's time we showed them that."
He eyed the man's armor. "With your armor and strength and my blades and speed, we could make short work of this place. Don'tcha think?" he licked his lips in earnest, hands twitching the blades around nervously.

Kuro looked as Roxanne moved the girl off the street, "In my bag, there is quick clot, it will at least stop the bleeding, then just keep pressure until someone arrived." he shouted to her. He didn't want to take the chance of her being caught but he needed to save the girls life. "I am sorry for entering your shop young lady, I know you didn't want users in there but I needed a place to duck in for a while." he said trying to cover his tracks.
He then turned his attention to the man running around him, as the man moved Kuro tried hard to track his movements, only seeing the quick blur then him reforming in another location. "Wonderful a speed users, oh and he's got knives."[/i] Kuro cracked his neck, "You are the reason they look at us the way they do. People like you are the reason I am around, I am trying to help making people understand that some Users are good." Kuro smiled some as the man moved again talking about how they could take the town.
"You know, I know someone who is a lot like you, a power hungry cowards. You were to weak as a kid and picked on a lot so now that you have some power you think your king shit and can do as you please." he thought about Zane. "And trust me he is a much bigger man then you are." Kuro typically wasn't one to taunt in a fight but he wanted to make sure the man was on him, at least until the citizens could get away. "And what you think cause you got those little blades that makes you tough shit, what you can't fight with your hands? Afraid to break a nail?" Kuro mocked then smiled. "Come on Roxanne, grab the stuff and get her and yourself out of here."[/i] he looked over his shoulder for her.

Hearing Kuro's shouts her face softened sadly. Even in this situation he was trying to make sure she wouldn't get exposed. People like him didn't come around everyday and it made her sad that because of all this, no matter how much he was giving up, he was still going to be treated just the same as the man he was fighting.
Pulling the women into her shop she ran from the display room and rummaged through his bag. There wasn't much in it so it was easy to find what she was looking for. Rushing back to the women she ripped open the packaging and poured the substance over her wound and folding up her sweater she placed it gently on the woman's neck. Reaching over her counter she pulled out some colorful ribbon she used to wrap gifts. Tying it so that it would keep the sweater close to the wound she pulled down the sketch pad and quickly began to draw.
She hated having to do this. Altering the future placed herself in an extremely vulnerable position since she lost all contact with the present world. If it would help though, it was worth it and besides, she was sure Kuro was keeping him busy.
---
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY LIFE" Steve yelled at the man. /'Don't bring up some half ass experience you had and try to compare that to me just because i am searching for justice."
He swung his blades around his hands quicker than the human eye could comprehend before swinging them out at Kuro. He didn't even bother to stop and see if he had actually hit the man before striking again; aiming for anything that wasn't orange and red and shining in the sun. "I wasn't hurting anyone, I was living my goddamn life when they took me away. I bet that bitch who cheated on me reported me too. How is that for fair treatment" he spoke as he continued to lash out at his opponent. "Igave her everything and how does she repay me, the minute i'm gone she gets up and cozy like some floozy with our good for nothing neighbor!"

Kuro saw Roxanne make it into the shop as he turned his head back he saw the man swinging his blades violently, He tried back stepping to avoid the attacks but the blades kept slicing into this chest arm arm. "Oh ya, cause I am sure you were such an up standing citizen before you were put away." Kuro continued to mock the man, this wasn't his style and it was starting to bother him some how easily it came out, to much time with Zane he guessed.
As the man's blade swung again, it was met with a clinging noise and sparks shot from Kuro's chest, "You think you have had it hard, you were locked up, I understand its tough, but how about the children that because of how you use your powers will be stripped from their homes and locked away." the blade his again this time his left arm slicing deep in his bicep, but was then covered by the armor, "What about the mother that has to watch her son get beat to near death in school because he has a gift that because of people like you he has to hide." Kuro brought his arm up reaching for the man's shirt.
As the blade swung once more it hit the side of his face cutting his cheek, "I know people like you, you think you have it hard because all you see is you. You honestly think that you are the only one going through these hard ships because of these gifts!" Kuro shouted at him, then swung his fist at his chest; controlling the armor rather than his arm Kuro launch his fist much fasted but dislocated the shoulder. The only way the arm was working now was coated in the armor until he could fix it.

Roxanne breathed in deeply feeling herself drift back into full consciousness. She looked down at her work. The man was standing there, attacking Kuro, but the knives from his hands were missing. How to alter the future was still a bit of a mystery to her, she wasn't even sure this would work. But it was worth a try. She could hear shouting from outside but she ignored it and slowly made her way back over to the woman. She was out cold, but had a weak pulse. Roxanne looked outside nervously, if the paramedics didn't arrive soon, she wasn't sure the woman would make it.
---
The man felt the blow hit him right in the chest, sending him flying backwards into a bench. He let out a stream of curses as he slowly got back onto his feet. "Oh i'm sure there are others. And i'm going to find them. I've heard of resistance groups. I'll join them, and maybe we can get rid of these stinking humans for good. With no humans around, we don't have to worry about any of those things. You're just to caught up in your pretentious self righteousness to see that!" he shouted before rushing towards Kuro slicing at him with his knives.
Much to his obvious surprise, they broke. He stumbled back a few steps, looking at the broken handles to his knives with wide eyes. The man's armor was certainly formidable, but these blades were built to withstand such a beating. They shouldn't have broken. Throwing the useless knives at his armored opponent he kept his distance, glancing around for anything he could use for a makeshift weapon, obviously more timid without his knives in his hands.
Starting at a run, he flew around Kuro in a motion that only registered as a blur. As he did, he picked up random objects he found. Benches, trashcans, sewer caps; anything he could easily lift and through at the man.

As his punch landed Kuro felt a sharp pain as he pulled the arm back, that was gonna be painful when this was all said and done. As the man hit the bench and began cursing Kuro stared him down. As he shouted about the resistance and how Kuro was to self righteous to see how killing off the humans would make the world better, Kuro clenched his fist, he had heard this kinda talk to much lately. Levi's word was traveling fast and more and more users were falling in with him. "To self righteous?" Kuro shouted at him, "No, that is not it, you think that because you have gifts you are better than everyone else, I don't believe we are any stronger than they are." Kuro rose his hand up in front of him, "Using my powers to defend others is the only thing that truly gives reason to having them."
As the man with the knife charged him, his hands drawing back, then something strange happened. The knives shattered, breaking into pieces, assuming it was due to connection with his armor, Kuro was still confused as to why they broke long after contact. "That's odd. Maybe took a little while for the force to get through them all the way?"[/i] He thought to himself.
As the man began running around throwing things at him, Kuro simply batted them away, knocking all the objects to the floor. "What without yours knives you panic?" Kuro shouted at the man, "Kinda funny, you need your powers to stand against regular people and knives to stand against someone else with gifts. Your kinda sad." Kuro mocked again, he didn't like this guy and he was in a lot of pain, his normal happy go lucky temper was starting to run out. As the man ran Kuro lifted and small car next to him, tossing it in the path of the speed users, making sure it wouldn't roll into any building or something people could be hiding behind or in.

Steve looked around trying to find something else to throw. Hearing the man's comment he was about to retort. As he looked forward again he just barely saw the car flying in his path. Quickly changing directions he tried to avoid being hit, but he was caught off his guard. He managed to avoid getting hit with the main body of the car but one of the rear tires slammed into his head. The force of the hit knocked him to the ground as the car flew over him. There was blood leaking from his head and he was completely unconscious.
---
Roxanne smiled seeing the man's knives break. She was never sure how well her alterations were going to work, or what kind of effect they would have which was the biggest reason why she didn't do it often. Her eyes flickered between the woman on her shop's floor to the men fighting outside. She could hear sirens in the background and looked up relieved just in time to see Kuro launch a car at the other man.
With wide eyes she rose from her knees and made her way over to the shop door. Straining to see beyond the limits of the window. The other man was lying on the ground a few feet from her shop's door and didn't look like he was getting back up. Slightly alarmed, she unlocked the door and walked cautiously over to him, crouching down to check for a pulse. There was one there, however weak and she breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't sympathize with him at all and she didn't want him to remain free on the streets, but that didn't mean she wanted to see him dead.
She stood back up and backed a few steps away from the man, wiping her hands off on her white button down shirt which was already smeared with bloodstains from taking care of the woman. Her eyes stayed on the man as she spoke "He's alive." she looked up at Kuro "So is the woman."
The sounds of the sirens were getting closer. Biting her lip nervously she rushed back into her shop beckoning for him to follow. "Come inside you can head out the backdoor." she said rushing back into her shop. They still had a little time before the paramedics and police showed up. Enough time for him to grab his things and slip out the back.

As Kuro saw the man hit the floor he receded his armor, as it with drew from his left arm it fell limp, he winced in pain and it pulled on the joint which was banged up. The dislocated arm then started to drip blood from the deep cut along his bicep brachii. As he walked the arm swung slightly at his side. As the armor came off his chest he began bleeding from the minor chest wounds. He made his way to the man, as Roxanne said he was still alive Kuro sighed slightly, he honestly didn't mean to hit the man with the car but cause him to switch directions.
When she then mentioned the girl Kuro walked inside, he squatted next to her, the clotting agent had works to at least help to keep her from bleeding out but she was still in bad shape. The sirens growing closer Kuro hopped she would would make it through. He stood up and walked over to the wall placing his left arm against it. "This is gonna really suck" he said, mainly talking to himself. He then trusted his weight into the wall forcing his arm back into the socket. He gritted his teeth with the pain then began bending the arm making sure it was working right. As he bent it more blood leaked from the wound on his arm.
"It's alright" he said then she tried to rush him out the back, he slide down the wall, bring his right hand to his left arm, "Give me a sec and I'll be good to go." he let out a large yawn. The lack of sleep and the excess energy he had used not only in the fight but in just walking back in had basically whipped him out. His head hung forward, facing the floor between his legs the were now out stretched, his right arm crossing his stomach holding his left. His breathing became somewhat shallow, "Sleepy" he muttered to himself.
